QLS: Contact Reliability in Push-Pull Technology

QLS – How It Functions
The use of QLS creates a high front-face pressure in the contact zone usually only attainable with screw-on connectors. In turn, this high contact pressure results in outstanding contact reliability even under mechanical stresses such as those resulting from vibration or pulling on the connected cables. QLS connectors are 100% compatible with QMA connectors.

Shorter Installation Times
- Quicker to engage due to Push-Pull mechanism (self-locking)
- Higher packing density, since tooling is not required
- No requirement for torque spanner for high, defined contact force

Higher Contact Force
- Higher contact force (QLS: 200 N, QMA: 60 N)
- better electrical characteristics (intermodulation, return loss, transmission performance, contact reliability)
- higher mating cycles (QLS: 200, QMA: 100)
- accidental disconnection by pulling on the attached cable practically impossible
