In order to fully prepared Industrial Ethernet for the special challenges presented by this harsh environment, Telegärtner – working together with leading firms from the field – has developed the so-called “SteadyTec®” technology. SteadyTec® stands for a simple, reliable connecting tech-nique for harsh environments. Any product carrying the “SteadyTec® Reliable Technology” logo offers the user full assurance that the connector in question complies with all international standards for Industrial Ethernet: 100 %.
No Limits on the Possible Combinations of STX Products
Advantage thanks to maximum modularity. The Telegärtner STX Ethernet connectors offer standards-compliant solutions which can be flexibly equipped with freely selectable inserts -without troublesome adjustments-. This provides greater freedom in component selection and in component application. Aside from the RJ45 inserts, fibre optic connectors for Plastic Optical Fibers (POF), Plastic Cladded Fibers (PCF) and Glass Optical Fibers (GOF) in 9 μm, 50 μm and 62.5 μm can all be integrated.
Beyond this, a unique selection of versions in either plastic or metal is available. Additionally, all connectors comply with IEC 61076-3-106 or IEC 61076-3-117 and are in accordance with the standards such as 50173-1 and -3, ISO/IEC 24702, IEC 61918 and IEC 61784-5 as well as the „PROFINET System guide“ describing cabling in industrial premises and plants.
In summary: The STX connectors with STEADYTEC® technology offer customers the possibility to build up a persistent link with high bandwidth starting from the floor distributor via the control cabinet to the Telecommunications Outlet in the field. Generic Cabling in Control Cabinets
STX Mounting Rail Distributors:
The STX mounting rail distributors are available for either loose-tube, mini-breakout or breakout cables of up to 12 fibres using splice techniques or for fibre optic adaptors using pre-assembled fibre optic links. Fibre optic adaptor types including ST, SC Duplex, SC-RJ, LC Duplex and E2000 Compact can be installed in the interchangeable front panel. The installer can flexibly feed the cables from three directions while easily maintaining minimum bending radii using a storage reserve with additional cable retainers. Versions with pre-assembled adaptors are already available for mini-breakout and breakout cables. For loose-tube cables, the distributors are supplied with ready-to-splice, coloured pigtails and cable strain relief.

STX Mounting Rail Outlets:
For generic cabling in control cabinets, Telegärtner offers outlets with STEADYTEC® technology which can be mounted directly next to one another on the mounting rail. They form the ideal connection between the arriving installation lines and the wiring inside the control cabinet. The components can be quickly and easily mounted on conventional TH35 rails according to DIN 60715 by simply clicking them in place.
Freely selectable inserts can be implemented in all The STX mounting rail outlets. This provides greater freedom in component selection and in component application. The outlets designed for fully-screened RJ45 jacks Cat.6A and RJ45 couplers Cat.6 are equipped with a functional earth which can be switched on/off during operation. This simplifies fault analyses in the grounding concept while also separating the potentials between the network and the control cabinet. Aside from the RJ45 inserts, fibre optic SC Duplex, SC-RJ, ST Duplex and ST-/SC adaptors are available for Plastic Optical Fibers (POF), Plastic Cladded Fibers (PCF) and Glass Optical Fibers (GOF) in 9 μm, 50 μm and 62.5 μm. The outlets with LC Duplex and E2000 Compact RJ are available for Glass Optical Fibers (GOF) in 9 μm, 50 μm and 62.5 μm.
Furthermore, Telegärtner offers an outlet with USB coupler type A, f-f for a transmission performance between 25-400 Mbit/s according to Universal Serial Bus Specification, Revision 2.0."
