The engineer Karl Gärtner set up the Telegärtner company in Clausthal-Zellerfeld in 1945.

Hartmut Gärtner takes over the management of the company in 1970. Under his leadership, Telegärtner has developed from a regional company with 19 employees into a globally active group of companies.
