Few of these devices can be properly equipped with a wireless LAN connection. Data transmission is secure and reliable via the RJ45 patch cords. However: The RJ45 connectors of the devices are almost always damaged when the devices are moved only a little further than the patch cords allows, resulting in long downtimes and high repair costs. There are still people being injured in this connection, which almost always raises the issue of accident prevention regulations.
The Defined Disconnect Consolidation Point Link (in short: DDCP Link) provides reliable protection wherever expensive devices are moved. The release force of the socket is below the standard specifications for RJ45 plugs according to IEC 60603-7. If it is exceeded, the plug of the cord slides out of the disconnect socket. This ensures that the connection of the patch cord and the DDCP Link is always disengaged first. Of course, the DDCP Link ensures sufficiently high pull-out force to prevent inadvertent loosening at low forces. Thanks to the integrated cable pigtail the DDCP Link works reliably even with critical shear and transverse forces. This allows terminals to be moved in all directions, even along the wall.
With plug and socket in accordance with IEC 60603-7-51 and the integrated, flexible category 7 S/FTP cable pigtail , the DDCP Link provides full 10 Gigabit performance across the entire frequency range up to 500 MHz. With its fully shielded design and the wide temperature range of -40° C to 70° C it is also suitable for applications in harsh environments in workshops and mobile maintenance and diagnostic devices. It is naturally designed for Power over Ethernet (PoE) according to IEEE 802.3af and for the more powerful version PoE+ according to IEEE 802.3at with electrical currents of up to 600 mA. The RJ45 jack of DDCPs is designed to allow the DDCP to disconnect in running operation without the filigree contacts of the RJ45 socket being damaged, since the spark erosion occurs far away from the area that is used for data transmission. Thus, the connection can be unmated under full load even with PoE+, the jack still offers the full 10 Gbit/s. The Defined Disconnect CP-Link is available in white and blue.
In addition to all technical advantages, the DDCP is also an extremely cost-effective solution: The DDCP Link can be easily integrated - even retrofitted - into existing cabling just by being added to one end of the patch cord. This means that it can also be easily retrofitted by non-experts!
The Defined Disconnect is available through specialist dealers.
