The challenge of modern building cabling lies in the future: to guarantee increasing data rates and maximum flexibility. IT cabling often has to be installed in extremely confined spaces. This has a particularly critical effect on flush-mount outlets, underfloor tanks and media tables: The minimum bending radius of the cable must not be undercut for reliable data transmission, but most RJ45 modules are built quite long and take up a lot of space. However, a short design and high transmission performance are not necessarily exclusive of each other. The latest RJ45 jack - the AMJ-SL module - offers transmission values that far exceed the requirements of the standards, and its particularly short design length of 32 mm at the same time leaves enough space for correct cable routing.

AMJ-SL - the shortest RJ45 module in our portfolio

The portfolio of Cat.6A RJ45 modules from Telegärtner includes four different connectors: The AMJ Module K, the proven standard module for simple installation situations, which convinced with its high user-friendliness as well as its very high mechanical robustness and has already been installed millions of times. The AMJ-S module is our slim RJ45 jack for confined spaces with integrated cable shield contacting, integrated strain relief and with a metallic snap-in latch with low-impedance bonding. Then there is the robust AMJ-S module 2G, which is suitable for harsh environmental conditions and supports 4-Pair Power over Ethernet (4PPoE). The fourth RJ45 module in this series is our newest as well as shortest Cat.6A module with an extremely high system reserve.

Advantages of the new RJ45 module

Compared to other modules, the AMJ-SL module has a significantly shorter overall length. Thanks to its short overall length, the Telegärtner AMJ-SL module is also ideal for installation in difficult situations. The module impresses with its robust, easy-to-install housing. No special tools are required for assembly.

 

The large and reliable NEXT headroom in the critical inner pair lends the new Telegärtner AMJ-SL module an exceptionally large link headroom. This guarantees a large fault tolerence.

 

Simple and secure locking:
The two halves of the housing are latched together by means of a onepiece metal barbed snap-in/snap-put latch. 
When latched into its end position, the metal housing can be used vibration-free in a variety of applications.

RJ45 module for tight spaces

Floor boxes, media tables and flush-mount outlets are often associated with confined spaces. This makes installation more difficult and – if not carried out by an expert – leads to a loss of signal strength. Or even failure. The AMJ-SL module paves the way for a simple, fast and electrically efficient installation in confined spaces with high reserves.

The module can also be easily installed in the confined space of a flush-mount outlet. The extremely short module permits a larger cable bending radius to optimise signal transmission.

 

Cable ducts – the solution for subsequent adjustments to cabling in buildings – often require solutions that really save space.

 

International requirement compliance.
For cable ducts in buildings or cavity wall installations with straight cable outlet.

Compared to longer modules, the shorter length of the AMJ-SL module means it takes up less space in the floor box. The equipment insert can thus be installed lower down in the box. This relieves the inserted patch cords of mechanical stress in space-critical installation situations and is hence a major benefit.

Unlimited design capability

Thanks to its slim design, the AMJ-SL module can be easily combined with faceplates from various manufacturers. This is because the Telegärtner module carrier has a jack spacing suitable for both the field-proven AMJ45 and the UAE outlet. This opens up an almost unlimited spectrum of design possibilities.

The AMJ-SL module in keystone format (19.3 x 14.7 mm) also fits into Telegärtner's single-, double- and triple-gang outlets and all Telegärtner 19" panels as well as MPD6, MPD8, MPD12, MPD16 and MPD24 mini distributors.
