Highest performance even under extreme mechanical stress

The SIMFix® LP is a new RF connector for mobile radio applications. It is characterized by its excellent PIM values and easy assembly. In addition, the SIMFix® LP is extremely robust and waterproof, so that it can resist extreme weather conditions, such as storms, hail or heat, and it still ensures very stable behaviour in terms of intermodulation and return loss. Therefore, the connector is particularly suitable for outdoor applications in mobile radio, PMR, public safety or military radio where a very low PIM level is required.

The SIMFix® LP can be mounted safely, easily and quickly with the help of the correct cutting tool. The connector was developed for 1/2" corrugated cables and is used at the interface to devices such as antennas or remote radio units.

Superior Performance - SIMFix® LP

The SimFix®LP is extremely robust and provides very good performance in terms of intermodulation and return loss. It achieves above-average PIM values under heavy mechanical stress and is therefore extremely reliable. The connector is optimally suited for mobile radio applications with harsh environmental conditions and extreme weather changes.

PIM Rotation test for a higher reliability

In order to be able to determine how reliable and stable the connectors perform under mechanical stress, the PIM rotation test is performed according to
IEC 62037-2. The intermodulation test consists of three steps:

  1. Step: Static test – without movement and stress.
  2. Step: Impact stress – a 30g weight is dropped onto the test sample from a height of 30cm.
  3. Step: Rotation test – the cable is moved during the measurement in a specified radius and with a prescribed dynamic. This simulates extreme stresses that can occur during storms.

The SIMFix® LP passed all test with outsanding results. With -162dBc @ 2x43dBm, it achieves excellent and stable values in terms of intermodulation.

Mounting Instruction

Simple and fast assembly

The connector is easily assembled in a very short time with only two pre-assembled components. In addition, there are no loose enclosed O-rings or other small parts that can simply get lost.
Only one special tool is absolutely recommended for assembly - the cutting tool for cable preparation. This tool ensures a perfect as well as fast assembly with reliable results. A clean and reliable assembly consequently ensures low and stable PIM levels. In addition to standard tools such as wrenches or knives, other helpful tools from Telegärtner are recommended to facilitate the installation (see mounting instructions).
