Normes mondiales importantes

Partie 3 : Locaux industriels (remplace ISO/CEI 24702).

Partie 4 : Maisons individuelles (remplace l'ISO/CEI 15018).

Partie 5 : Centres de données (remplace ISO/IEC 24764).

Partie 6 : Services de bâtiment distribués (nouvelle norme ISO/CEI).

ISO/IEC 14763 corresponds to EN 50174 but has a different structure. It also specifies testing of fiber optic links.

ISO/IEC 14763 Information technology – Implementation and operation of customer premises cabling

Part 1: Administration.

Part 2: Planning and installation.

TR Part 2-1: Planning and installation – Identifiers within administration systems.

Part 3: Testing of optical fibre cabling

In case you remember ISO/IEC 15018 Information technology – Generic cabling for homes: This standard was replaced by ISO/IEC 11801-4.

ISO/IEC 18010 specifies cable pathways.

ISO/IEC 18010 Information technology – Pathways and spaces for customer premises cabling

TR is the acronym of Technical Reports. Strictly speaking, TRs are not standards, but are very often treated as if they were.

ISO/IEC TR 11801-9902 Information technology – Generic cabling for customer premises – Part 9902: End-to-end link configurations focuses on end-to-end links.

ISO/IEC TR 11801-9905 Information technology – Generic cabling for customer premises – Part 9905: Guidelines for the use of installed cabling to support 25GBASE-T application is a guide how to test legacy cabling to evaluate if it can transmit 25 Gigabit Ethernet 25GBASE-T. Der TR shall not be used for new cabling.

ISO/IEC TR 11801-9907 Information technology – Generic cabling for customer premises – Part 9907: Specifications for direct attach cabling focuses on direct attach cabling that omits patch panels and outlets.

ISO/IEC TR 11801-9909 Information technology – Generic cabling for customer premises – Part 9909: Evaluation of balanced cabling in support of 25 Gbit/s for reach greater than 30 metresis a guidance for copper cabling that shall transmit 25 Gigabit Ethernet 25GBASE-T over more than 30 meters.

ISO/IEC TR 11801-9910 Information technology – Generic cabling for customer premises – Part 9910: Specifications for modular plug terminated link cabling focuses on modular plug terminated links (MPTL)

ISO/IEC TR 24704 Information technology – Customer premises cabling for wireless access points focuses on cabling for WiFi access points.

ISO/IEC TR 24746 Information technology – Generic cabling for customer premises – Mid-span DTE power insertion focuses on mid-span devices for Power over Ethernet.

ISO/IEC TR 24750 Information technology – Assessment and mitigation of installed balanced cabling channels in order to support 10GBASE-T is a guide how to test legacy cabling to evaluate if it can transmit 10 Gigabit Ethernet 10GBASE-T. Der TR shall not be used for new cabling.

ISO/IEC 29106 Information technology – Generic cabling – Introduction to the MICE environmental classification focuses on the MICE environmental classifiction scheme that is used by EN 50173-1 and ISO/IEC 11801.

ISO/IEC TR 29125 Information technology – Telecommunications cabling requirements for remote powering of terminal equipment

specifies the requirements for cabling that also transmits power to devices, e.g. via Power over Ethernet.

The next episode will introduce important American standards.
