No kinked cables when installing flush-mount outlets
A long piece of cable protruding the back box it easier to connect it to a flush-mount outlet, but it can’t be pushed back far enough after connecting it and so it will kink. A short piece of cable doesn’t kink, but connecting it to an outlet is a nightmare. Outlets that have connecting blocks on the front solve this problem.
Outlets with connecting blocks on the front need only a short piece of cable protruding the wall. Outlets where the cable entry can be selected on-site and that can be rotated in steps of 45 degrees are the perfect choice for flush-mount installations, especially when the outlet also provides an excellent cable strain relief and an extensive shield connection. The wire pairs are routed through an opening in the outlet to the front and connected to LSA-Plus connecting blocks there. This makes connecting the wires with the outlet being close to the wall particularly easy and eliminates long cable slack that has to be pushed back into the wall afterwards and also eliminates the threat of kinked cable.
