The MFP8 plug series enables time-saving and efficient onsite assembly for all networks, from Voice right through to 40 Gigabit Ethernet. It can be assembled on all standard types of cable in just 60 seconds – and no special tools are required.

Areas of application of the RJ45 network plugs
MFP Series
The new field assembly MFP8 is the number one choice whenever efficient and reliable connections are needed without major expense or effort, whether for classic cabling systems in office buildings, data centers, in industry or for home cabling systems. Needless to say, it also supports High Power over Ethernet plus (PoE+).
With the MFP8 plug series, installers and network professionals now have access to RJ45 plugs which will enable them to respond with speed and flexibility, even at short notice, to any requirement, be it cabling for workstations,connections for equipment or backbone extensions.
Connections can be made with all standard cable types, even with transferrates of 40 Gigabit Ethernet/s (40GBase-T), without requiring hours of preparation and the need for special tools. It is particularly cost-effective for connections in data centers where every centimeter counts. Space problems due to surplus cable are consigned to history books. Thanks to its compact design and suitability for multiport applications, the MFP8 can also be used where space is at an absolute premium.
Whether used in industrial control cabinets or distribution boxes in production, the MFP8 plug series can also be relied upon in industry. 360° shielding and full metal housing guarantee secure and reliable data transmission, including 40 Gigabit Ethernet/s and even with outside electrical interference. And the use of full range of cable types with solid or stranded conductors make it an universal product fit for all purposes, whether for PROFINET, EtherCAT, Ether-Net/IP or CC-Link.
Outlets and patch cords are not desirable in many applications for security or aesthetic reasons, although a wireless connection is not practical either. The MFP8 and MFP8-SL can connect IP cameras, security devices, Wi-Fi access points and distributed antenna systems to the installation cable elegantly and protect them against manipulation.

MFP8 IE Cat.6A
RJ45 Connector Industrial Ethernet
The Industrial Ethernet variant in the MFP8 family is characterized by two major innovations. In addition to the completely redesigned, elegant housing in full metal design, the MFP8 IE is characterized in particular by an innovative cable gland that allows cable diameters of up to 10 mm to pass through. The parts of the shield housing that can be folded for assembly are attached to the connector housing so that they cannot be lost and enable quick and easy assembly on industrial cables on site. MFP8 Cat.8.1
RJ45 Connector Cat.8.1
Telegärtner is launching the field-assembly cable plug MFP8 Cat.8.1 for building direct-attach links in-between electronic devices or for the assembly of patch cords.
The fully-shielded housing made of zinc diecast offers a cable strain relief suitable for cable outer diameter from 5.5 - 10.0 mm and can be assembled onto horizontal or patch cable of Category Cat.8.1/Cat.8.2 with solid or stranded conductors such as AWG27/7 – 22/7 or AWG26/1 – 22/1 with no need for any special tools.

Fitting the RJ45 Connector: MFP8 Cat.6A
The MFP8 Cat.6A consists of just two parts which can be assembled quickly and securely in three simple steps.
Fitting the RJ45 Connector: MFP8-4x90 Cat.6A
Step 1: Cable outlet on cable & bonding of cable
Slide cable strain relief and cable outlet on cable. Remove cable jacket, fold braided shield backwards, presort pairs and remove pair screen, untwist and insert pairs into wire manager. Press together wire manager with plier-wrench or parallel press tool and cut all wires protruding.
Step 2: Insertion into plug body and location of cable outlet
Remove assembly aid and insert wire manager into plug body. The wire manager is mechanically coded therefore it can only be inserted into plug housing with right orientation. The cable outlet can be hooked in with 4 x 90° steps.
Step 3: Locking
Press down locking lever until it locks.
Step 4: Hook in cable outlet
Cable outlet can be hooked in with 4 different positions!
Step 5: Locate cable on adaptor & close lid
Bring cable into favored outlet direction and lay braided shield in shield contact area. Clap down lid.
Step 6: Screw together cable strain relief
Connect lid and cable outlet with nut AF13. Cable strain relief is suitable for cable diameters of 5.5-10.0 mm.
